Interactive “Artivist” Performances for Conferences and Events

In Forest and Lynchburg, Virginia / Occaneechi and Monacan land, I offer private drum lessons at my studio and at students’ spaces. I also facilitate interactive drum circles as community building practice. I’m always seeking new students and drum opportunities!

I performed one-woman shows at at Venice International University, speaking on the aesthetics of restraint, and Nova University’s Social Sciences & Humanities in Lisbon, Portugal, speaking on the aesthetics of protest. I have also presented at conferences and events including at the University of Florida, speaking on access to medicine, and the YWCA’s 2023 “Raise the Vibrations and Voices”.

With the  Artist Relief Project, the Academy Center for the Arts (Lynchburg, VA), Creative Action (Austin, TX), and other organizations, I have taught classes relating to Artivism, such as how to use your art to inspire action in your community, Creative Fundraising, Crowdfunding, Patreon, How to Make a Promotional Video, Grant Writing, Budgeting your Art Project, Working with People Across the Wheel of Power & Privilege, Making Your Zoom Classroom More Interactive, Producing a Podcast, and more.
